Sono state programmate per le signore d’America visite guidate alla torre medievale, monumento icona di Pontelandolfo, una rievocazione dei fatti d’arme del 1861, una visita al sito archeologico di Altilia e la partecipazione alla festa di Santa Rita nella vicina comunità di Casalduni. “L’America è un grande paese – commenta Midge Guerrera -, composto da piccole città. Oggi abbiamo tra noi signore giunte dalla Pennsylvania, dal New Jersey, da New York, dalla Florida, dalla Georgia, dal Connecticut e dall’Illinois in visita a uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia, Pontelandolfo. È mia speranza che possano tornare nelle piccole città in cui vivono e far sapere ad altre persone i motivi per cui una visita a Pontelandolfo dovrebbe essere sulla loro lista dei desideri turistici”. Today team A made sausage! Dana got an “A” for best sausage making! We started out with a side of pork and culminated into a delicious meal!! Grazie Mille Franco and Maria for opening your home and hearts to us.
Each day our hearts are filled with the love of the women of Pontelandolfo. Today, group A spent the day with Carmela Fusco, who we knew we loved before we met her, because her daughters have been helping us all week. We made homemade cavatelli with a meat sauce, eggplant with fresh tomatoes, fruit salad and a beautiful nutella pastry! Let the photos speak for themselves.
I mad sure that the Cooks in the Kitchens of Pontelandolfo learned the secret of Carmella Carmela Fusco’s Fiore di Nutella! I love it.
Last night we visited borgo cerquelle a Bioagriturismo. A very special place where we got to walk the land.
Day 5 … Today we made pizza in the brick oven with Nicola and tiramisu. He is a very special man and made our last day a perfect one. I think we were all a little tired today, but we still ended on a high note at his beautiful home. Grazie Mille Nicola!
Tonight we must say goodbye to all the wonderful people we’ve met.
Midge Guerrera has given us the opportunity to become a part of the beautiful town of Pontelandolfo for a week and we are forever grateful.

The first women to experience cooking classes in the Pontelandolfo homes of real people left this morning. Cooking on the Kitchens of Pontelandolfo was a huge success thanks to the participants Mary Johnson, Dana Johnson, Lynn Yonally, Charleen S. Johnson, Leona Halliwell,Nancy Huntley, Ellie Leedom, and Flora Phyllis Poggio Oppenheimer. I miss you all already
